Designed for Dobbies' 2020 range, this design project was pitched as a unique lounge set with influences from Moroccan design styles. This is now a continuing style year on year for Dobbies, having been featured in an article by The Times listing 'The Best Outdoor Furniture to Buy for Summer' April 2020.

Sleek Acacia Range
Having made contact with a new supplier in Vietnam, this was a first foray into 100% wood and natural material furniture. The Sleek outdoor range is designed in FSC Acacia with steel accents. The style is influenced by modern Scandinavian design, while also retaining a traditional farmhouse feel.

Vienna Rattan
This design was a proposal for John Lewis' 2024 summer collection, after identifying an opportunity to build upon their own brand range. Inspired by the popular format of their aluminium Platform set, this rattan design was intended to create a softer look, using on trend neutral palettes and mixed natural textures, and fitting in at a new price point between John Lewis own brand and designer labels.

Stripe Range
This project was developed in partnership with John Lewis - inspired by a previous bar set from their range, with notes of the Hay Palissade collection. I created these mock-ups to present to the John Lewis buying team, visualising the designs in on-trend colour schemes: dark, natural greens and anthracite, and a range of warm, summery neutrals. Wooden armrest details were featured to soften the metal look and provide a warmer contact point against the skin. I also developed a slim cushion with sewn details that follow the contours of the metal slats.

Heba Range
A dark marble range developed for Homebase's SS23 Outdoor furniture range. The two key designs here focus on outdoor entertaining and convenience - the sofa set featuring sliding side tables and the bar set with its handy shelf for storing glassware, bottles and snacks.
2022
Omari Range
Designed as part of Homebase's SS23 outdoor range, the Casa corner sofa, bistro and coffee sets offer a rich, luxe combination of teal tones and shimmering gold finishes, with a ceramic table topped to tie the range together.

Ocean Plastic Chair
A collaboration with Alasdair Mitchell of Ocean Plastic Pots (RHS Chelsea Sustainable Product of 2021), the Ocean plastic chair is a concept piece to test the waters of developing a stylish, commercial chair made from reclaimed fishing ropes, fish boxes and other plastic waste gathered locally in Scotland. The design, prototyping, material sourcing, plastic processing and production will all take place locally in Scotland in collaboration with partners including Strathclyde University. The design features contours inspired by ocean currents, with a gap allowing for stacking. The legs are in bamboo, with a contrasting colour plastic washer to catch the eye sitting between the leg and the seat.

Pino
An exciting project developing a convenient range for urban environments for Made.com's Essentials for SS21. Many style, cost and manufacturing limitations applied, leading to a particularly involved design process.

Salsa Corner Sofa
A concept for SS22 to expand upon a client's successful woven furniture range. My concept here was to create the lowest entry level priced corner sofa we could, while still providing customers with fun, vibrant and comfortable summer furniture. I think the idea here is really promising, as the simple frames and minimal cushions will keep costs extremely competitive compared to most corner sofa offerings.

Platform Range Expansion
This collection features multiple designs proposed over 3 years as an extension to John Lewis' successful Platform corner sofa. Their team expressed an interest in customers buying a new furniture set for their garden and it matching exactly to something they may have bought a couple of years before. This was intended to bring a designed longevity to current and future products, and has been renewed year on year.

Glide Bar
Developed from concept through to production for John Lewis' SS20 outdoor range. This aluminium and glass bar was designed for entertaining, with a sliding top that conceals ice buckets and a bamboo chopping board for cocktail prep.

Matera Range
A new, premium Aluminium range, the Matera and Palermo ranges are the two cornerstones of a new brand launch coming in Spring/Summer 2023. Designed to be elegantly finished with soft edges and simple, high quality outdoor suitable materials, Matera is the product of years of outdoor design experience.

Lina Range Redesign 2022
For the 2022 season I worked on a renewal and expansion of an existing furniture range for a client, using contemporary geometric shapes. The result is a complete refresh of the original design that is trend-led and enables the range to have staying power for the coming seasons.

Aluminium Modular Stacking Sofa
A long term project that has been in the works for a few years - the aluminium stacking set is designed to fit fully constructed all in one box. In response to extreme shipping prices, each of our clients were (and still are) extremely interested in reducing costs of transport. This concept is designed to maximise use of space in a shipping container without requiring assembly by the end customer.
2021
Copenhagen Range
Designed to replace an existing range, this sleek yet simple collection embodies a more traditional style than much of my other work. For a set like, this the key design elements are comfort, quality finish, and timelessness.

Nest
This table was produced for John Lewis' 2020 Outdoor range - their team requested various iterations of eclectic side tables that could match many furniture ranges and this was the successful outcome, alongside the Geo table.
